The features most users never discover: the multi-wallet portfolio, compare tool, governance page, badges and levels, referrals, and how to actually use them.

Most people open CCTools, check the price, and leave. That's fine, the Overview page was designed for that.

But CCTools does a lot more under the hood. This playbook walks through the features that serious Canton participants use: the multi-wallet portfolio, the comparison tool, the governance and news pages, the referral program, and the badge and level system that runs across the app.

01Portfolio: beyond just balance

The Portfolio page pulls together every wallet you've connected, on Canton, EVM and Solana, and sums them in USD with a per-chain breakdown. That's the obvious part. What's less obvious: open any Canton wallet and you get its rewards history, transfers and P&L over time, and NFTs held in your EVM and Solana wallets show up in their own gallery.

The free plan covers one wallet per chain, 30 days of history and the first page of transfers and rewards. Pro raises that to five wallets per chain (15 in one portfolio), 90 days of history and P&L, and lifts the page limit on transfers and rewards. That matters if your holdings are spread across several parties, for example a treasury split across multiple wallets.

Where the detail lives

The portfolio grid shows each wallet at a glance. Click a Canton wallet card to open its rewards history, transfers and P&L.

02Compare: a tool most people miss

Under Ecosystem → Compare you can put up to three projects side by side: CCTools score, upvotes, views, X followers, open source, token, audit, funding, team size and, for validators and Featured Apps, their CC rewards and on-chain role.

This is the tool you open before:

Deciding which of two competing DEXes to LP into.
Choosing between similar RWA tokenization vendors.
Screening two infra projects to integrate with.

Sign in and you can save any comparison as a named view, then reopen it later from Saved views.

03Governance and news: know what's changing

The Governance page follows Canton governance in one place: the proposals, how each Super Validator voted, and the SV price consensus. Most proposals are routine, but some change how the network runs, so it pays to check it while a vote is open.

The News hub collects Canton-related coverage in one feed, including stories found through Google News and posts from the official Canton Network blog.

04Badges and levels: what they're for

CCTools awards badges for specific achievements, such as Streak Starter (a 7-day login streak), Comparator (using Compare on three different days), Governance Watcher (visiting the Governance page on five different days) and Multi Wallet (a connected wallet on each of Canton, EVM and Solana). Each badge adds a one-time XP boost and stays on your profile.

XP measures activity and never decays. It climbs your level from 1 to 50, and some actions unlock with level: upvoting ecosystem projects needs level 4, and curation votes need level 15. The XP guide lists every action and what it's worth.

05The referral economy

Every CCTools user has a referral link tied to their account, on the Referral page. When someone joins through your link, they get a short list of starter tasks (a two-day streak, adding a wallet, a few upvotes) that earn them XP. Once they finish those tasks and reach Level 4 through their own activity, you get +25 XP.

Referrals also unlock badges as they add up: Evangelist at 3 qualified referrals, Influencer at 10, Ambassador at 25, and more beyond that. Only referrals who reach Level 4 count, so the reward follows real activity rather than signups.

Tip

If you run a Canton newsletter or podcast, putting your referral link in the show notes is an easy way to bring in people who are already interested.

06Keeping up with changes

Two tools worth knowing about: the Tracker lets you inspect any Canton party directly on CCTools, and Governance shows SV votes as they come in.

New features and changes are announced on @cantontools. If something in this playbook changes, we update the guide.

FAQ

Is CCTools the same organization as Canton Network?

No. CCTools is an independent tooling project. We read network state from public sources such as Lighthouse, CoinGecko and the official Canton Network blog. Canton Network is the underlying protocol.

Do I need a Canton Coin balance to use CCTools?

No. Everything you read through CCTools works without holding any CC. You'd only need CC for activity of your own on Canton, such as paying for traffic on an app you run, or if you choose to pay for Pro in Canton Coin.

How often do the leaderboards update?

It depends on the data. XP on your profile refreshes within about a minute. The ecosystem leaderboard is recomputed every 30 minutes, Featured App data every 10 minutes, and the CC price every 5 minutes.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Go to Settings and use Delete Account at the bottom of the page. Public on-chain activity can't be erased from Canton itself.
