Role on Canton
Canton-native developer tooling built on Splice LocalNet and the DPM toolchain: LocalNet lifecycle, DAR workflows, contract and transaction inspection, observability, and CIP-0112 token flows.
About Bit Dynamics
Bit Dynamics is the open-source tooling layer for Canton. Its flagship product, Canton DevKit, is a single Go binary that manages the full LocalNet lifecycle with one command, replacing manual Docker, config and environment setup. It ships both as a native DPM component (dpm localnet ...) and as a standalone CLI, on macOS, Linux and Windows.
Beyond starting and stopping networks, DevKit adds what LocalNet does not provide out of the box: a live Active Contract Set watcher, multi-filter transaction listing, per-party visibility replay for debugging privacy and authorization, a Web UI explorer spanning multiple participants, Prometheus and Grafana dashboards, DAR upload and hot redeploy, and CLI token flows for CIP-0112 (Token Standard V2) including a token wizard, mint, transfer, burn and balance.
The team is also building a reference DEX and settlement pattern on Token Standard V2: matched OTC and RFQ settlement, prefunded orders backed by V2 allocations, constant-product liquidity pools, and an LP token issued as a normal tradable instrument, with a public testnet deployment external teams can inspect.
Both efforts are funded by approved Canton Development Fund grants: 1,900,000 CC for DevKit and 1,100,000 CC for the settlement and DEX reference implementation.
Features
What the product does
One-command LocalNet
Start, stop, restart and inspect named LocalNet instances with a single command. Version pinning, port isolation, snapshot and restore, and preflight checks, with no Docker or config wrangling.
Live contract and transaction explorer
Watch the Active Contract Set stream in real time, filter transactions by party, offset range and template, and replay what a specific party can see to debug privacy and authorization.
Web UI and observability
An embedded dashboard for service health, endpoints, logs and participants, wired to Prometheus and Grafana so developers see the same signals operators do.
Token standard testing
A CLI faucet and token wizard for CIP-0112 flows: create, mint, transfer, burn and check balances locally before touching production registry or custody infrastructure.
Reference DEX on Token Standard V2
An open-source settlement pattern and DEX reference showing matched OTC and RFQ settlement, prefunded orders backed by allocations, and liquidity pools using V2 holdings instead of custom escrow.

Connected Projects
Bit Dynamics holds two approved Canton Development Fund grants: 1,900,000 CC for Canton DevKit and 1,100,000 CC for a reference settlement pattern and DEX on Token Standard V2, both approved in May 2026. DevKit is distributed as a native DPM component and builds directly on the Splice LocalNet stack, sitting alongside the official Canton developer toolchain rather than competing with it. The team background is in blockchain infrastructure and validator operations, including Ethereum client infrastructure and production hosting systems supporting validator infrastructure.
