Cessio shows real substance as a live, invite-only Canton OTC desk with a working app, public docs, API/MCP tooling, and atomic DvP settlement. Its privacy-first model and validator/exchange/node roles are strong Canton-native signals, but public team/legal/funding details and adoption metrics are absent, keeping transparency, community, and maturity moderate.

Cessio on Canton

Private OTC swaps of Canton tokens: makers quote with on-ledger token-standard v2 allocations, and accepting one settles both legs atomically (DvP) in a single Canton transaction.

About Cessio

**Cessio is a confidential OTC desk on Canton Network: get a firm price on any token-standard pair without telling the market.**

A taker picks a pair and an amount, then chooses which makers see the request — nobody else does. Makers answer with firm quotes: signed commitments already on the ledger as token-standard allocations, not indications, so there is no last look. Accepting one settles both legs atomically (DvP) in a single Canton transaction, with an update id you can verify. Losing makers never learn the price, and the wider network never learns the trade happened.

- **Assets:** Canton Coin, cBTC, cETH, USDCx — and any other token-standard asset in the desk catalog. - **Self-custody:** sign in with a passkey or connect a Canton wallet over CIP-0103 (Console, Loop, Send, …). - **Fees:** takers pay nothing; makers pay a bps fee that steps down with USD notional and settles inside the same atomic transaction. - **Makers:** self-serve registration, REST + WebSocket Maker API, an open-source demo maker bot. - **AI agents:** the `@cessio/agent-mcp-server` MCP server lets an agent trade as taker, maker, or both, within rails you set (notional cap, instrument whitelist, price-deviation cap).

Features

What the product does

Privacy by Default

Order matching runs privately, keeping trades, balances, and strategies hidden, preventing data leakage and price manipulation

Atomic DvP Settlement

Swaps run simultaneously due to the DvP flow on Canton. Assets stay under the parties' control until a transaction is settled.

Agent First

Let your workflows get managed by a network of independent interacting agents that do exactly what you tell them.

No Slippage

Orders settle at the intended price, with private matching eliminating market impact and external price pressure.

Cessio FAQ

An account or connected wallet with a funded party on the desk. There is nothing to install.
The makers you selected see the request; the winner sees the trade. Everyone else — other makers, other users, the wider network — sees nothing, including whether a trade happened at all.
The RFQ expires and nothing happens. You are never obliged to trade, and no maker is obliged to quote.
It stops being acceptable and drops off the list. Quotes are live commitments with a countdown, so they never go stale in either direction.
Yes, self-serve: register over the API, get an issued key, subscribe to RFQs and post signed quotes. The docs have a bot quickstart.
Yes. Run the MCP server locally and your agent trades with its own key and its own identity — as taker, as maker, or both.
