Algorithm Analysis: Grofty Labs
Grofty Labs offers a live, non-custodial browser wallet for the Canton Network with functional features like swaps and bridging, supported by clear documentation. However, transparency is limited due to missing team and legal identity, and it lacks disclosed funding, significant on-chain activity, or community traction, placing it at an early stage with potential for growth.

About Grofty Labs
Grofty is a non-custodial wallet built for the Canton Network that makes managing on-chain assets simple and secure. Grofty streamlines onboarding with an intuitive interface and enables seamless interaction with Canton-native applications and tokenized assets.
Features
What the product does
Browser extension wallet
Canton wallet for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Create accounts, view CC and USDCx balances, and manage assets without a desktop client.
Canton Party ID management
Your on-chain Canton identity, displayed in the wallet profile for sending and receiving CC and USDCx from other Canton participants.
In-wallet swap
Swap CC to USDCx or USDCx to CC directly inside the wallet, with swap fees separate from transfer fees.
Cross-chain bridge
Bridge supported assets from external networks into Canton through a dedicated bridge flow with transparent bridge fees.
Transfer preapproval handling
Grofty surfaces Canton preapproval status so users know whether a wallet is ready to receive direct CC transfers, without debugging ledger errors.
Transaction review before signing
Every transaction shows entered amount, receiver amount, fee, asset symbol, destination Party ID, and transaction type before the user signs.
DAML fee settlement
Fee-aware CC transfer settlement enforced at the transaction layer via a WalletUserProxy contract, not just front-end display logic.
