A recent video posted by Digital Asset Investor on X highlights comments from a Charles Schwab executive who identified XRP alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and other major digital assets when discussing winners in the cryptocurrency market.

The remarks have drawn attention because they came from Charles Schwab’s Director of Global Equity Research during a discussion about how investors could approach the digital asset class.

Charles Schwab Executive Discusses Major Digital Assets

In the video, the Charles Schwab Director of Global Equity Research begins by distinguishing between several leading cryptocurrencies and their different use cases. He describes Bitcoin as the “classic” choice and characterizes it primarily as a store-of-value asset.

According to the executive, Bitcoin could appeal to investors concerned about fiat currency debasement. He then turns to Ethereum, noting that it offers better functionality compared with Bitcoin.

The discussion subsequently expands to other prominent cryptocurrencies. The executive specifically names Solana and XRP, along with Hyperliquid, as additional assets investors may consider. He does not provide a specific price target for XRP or predict a particular percentage increase. Instead, he includes XRP among the digital assets that could potentially emerge as winners within the broader asset class.

The comments also focus on portfolio allocation. The Charles Schwab executive suggests that investors who want exposure to digital assets could allocate a portion of their portfolios to the asset class while keeping most of that allocation concentrated in major cryptocurrencies.

Digital Asset Investor placed particular emphasis on the executive’s mention of XRP. After the Charles Schwab representative discusses Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Hyperliquid, Digital Asset Investor responds, stating that he keeps most of his own digital asset holdings in a major asset.

He then clarifies his position by saying, “the major, XRP.”

The response indicates that Digital Asset Investor interpreted the Charles Schwab comments as supportive of XRP’s position among major cryptocurrencies.

The video does not show Charles Schwab declaring XRP the single best-performing cryptocurrency or assigning it a specific future valuation. Instead, the executive places XRP among digital assets that investors may consider alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Hyperliquid.

His comments also suggest that Charles Schwab’s research perspective recognizes different characteristics across major cryptocurrencies.
