DSRV Adds Custody Support for Canton, the Institutional Blockchain Network, Expanding On-Chain Financial Infrastructure
South Korean blockchain infrastructure company DSRV has launched custody services for Canton Coin (CC), the utility token of the Canton Network, a blockchain tailored for institutional finance. Canton is a privacy-focused Layer 1 blockchain that selectively discloses transaction information only to authorized parties, and it has drawn attention as the infrastructure of choice for Wall Street financial firms pursuing real-world asset (RWA) tokenization. The Canton Network now processes more than $350 billion in assets daily, and DTCC is set to launch a U.S. Treasury tokenization service in October. Beyond custody, DSRV plans to offer consulting, node operation, application development, and enterprise wallets, expanding its on-chain financial infrastructure business for institutions and corporations. In South Korea, DSRV has already built a Canton-based payment system at Cafedcen, an in-house café operated by ITcen Group.

South Korean blockchain infrastructure company DSRV has begun offering custody support for the Canton Network, the blockchain that Wall Street financial firms are increasingly adopting as infrastructure for real-world assets (RWA) and asset tokenization. The company announced on the 10th that it has added Canton Coin (CC), Canton's utility token, to its digital asset custody service for institutional and corporate clients.
The decision comes in response to the rapid expansion of traditional financial asset tokenization and the RWA market, which is driving growing demand for digital asset utilization among financial companies and general corporations. DSRV's strategy goes beyond simply adding a virtual asset custody service: the company aims to capture the institutional and corporate on-chain finance market by also providing node operation, enterprise wallets, and application development.
Canton is a Layer 1 blockchain designed to bridge the gap between the transparency of typical public blockchains and the confidentiality that financial institutions require. Existing public blockchains such as Bitcoin and Ethereum operate on a structure where transaction information is exposed to the entire network, limiting financial firms' ability to place sensitive data—such as customer information or trading positions—directly on-chain. Canton is engineered to selectively disclose transaction information only to parties authorized to view it, while still enabling interoperability between different applications and assets. Even among participants in the same transaction, each party sees only the information they are permitted to access.
Canton Emerges as Institutional Financial Infrastructure
Momentum is accelerating in global financial markets to connect Canton to real-world financial infrastructure. According to the Canton Network, assets processed on the network now exceed $350 billion per day (approximately 467.9 trillion won). Ledger, the global virtual asset hardware wallet maker, announced last month its support for Canton Coin and Canton-based privacy assets, revealing that more than $9 trillion (approximately 1.2 quadrillion won) in real-world asset-related transactions are processed on Canton each month.
This signals that the industry has moved beyond the experimental blockchain phase into full-scale infrastructure competition to connect institutional payments, collateral, and tokenized assets.
The global RWA market itself is also growing rapidly. According to CoinGecko data, the market capitalization of tokenized RWAs excluding stablecoins surged 256% over 15 months, from $5.42 billion (approximately 7.2 trillion won) at the beginning of last year to $19.32 billion (approximately 25.8 trillion won) at the end of March this year. Tokenized U.S. Treasuries accounted for more than half of that growth.

As the financial sector expands blockchain use cases beyond virtual asset trading to traditional assets such as government bonds, equities, funds, and commodities, the importance of institutional-grade custody infrastructure to safeguard and control these assets is growing in tandem.
Institutional Asset Tokenization Projects Accelerate
A series of institutional asset tokenization projects are underway on Canton. The U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), in partnership with Digital Asset—the operator of the Canton Network—is pursuing a project to tokenize a portion of the U.S. Treasuries held in custody by DTC on Canton. The tokenization service is scheduled to launch in October.
With this Canton Coin support as a springboard, DSRV plans to provide the infrastructure that institutional and corporate clients need to apply blockchain networks to their actual business operations. In addition to digital asset custody, the company will support the security, internal controls, and compliance requirements essential for institutional clients.
Notably, DSRV has expanded its business scope beyond custody to include implementation consulting, node operation, Node-as-a-Service (NaaS), application development, and enterprise wallets. The company offers end-to-end support, from building the technical infrastructure institutions need to participate directly in the Canton Network, to developing services on top of it and safeguarding assets.
DSRV has also created a real-world use case for Canton in South Korea. The company recently built a Canton-based payment system at Cafedcen, an in-house café operated by ITcen Group. A key feature is the integration of the company's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with the blockchain, enabling real-time processing from ordering to payment and settlement.
"Momentum is building in institutional finance to apply blockchain and digital assets to actual financial infrastructure," said Seo Byung-yoon, co-CEO of DSRV. "We will provide the necessary infrastructure so that clients looking to leverage Canton can pursue their on-chain finance businesses with stability."
Building on this operational experience, DSRV plans to expand its institutional digital finance infrastructure business, including RWA and security token offerings (STO), going forward.
