GS DAP, as Goldman Sachs' Digital Asset Platform, demonstrates strong real-world impact through its involvement in significant projects like the EUR 100M EIB digital bond. With a live product and institutional backing, it showcases a high level of maturity and transparency. However, the lack of comprehensive documentation and open-source status could be areas for improvement.

GS DAP FAQ

GS DAP (Goldman Sachs Digital Asset Platform) is an institutional platform for issuing and managing digital assets, built on Canton Network using Daml smart contracts.
In partnership with the European Investment Bank, GS DAP facilitated a EUR 100M digital bond issuance, one of the first major digital bond deals by a supranational institution.
GS DAP is designed for institutional clients including issuers, investors, and financial market participants.

Connected Projects

GS DAP went live on January 10, 2023, after being developed by Goldman Sachs in partnership with Digital Asset using Daml and the Canton Network. Its inaugural use case was European Investment Bank Project Venus in November 2022, a EUR 100 million two-year digitally native bond issued under Luxembourg law, jointly led by Goldman Sachs, Banco Santander and Société Générale, with AXA IM as a noted investor. Project Venus achieved same-day settlement, collapsing T+5 to T+0 with sub-60-second atomic DvP. On July 23, 2025, Goldman Sachs and BNY announced a tokenized money market fund solution leveraging GS DAP to mirror-record MMF share ownership, with initial participating fund managers including BlackRock, Dreyfus, Federated Hermes, Fidelity Investments, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
